My name is Bryson Parker. I am currently a junior in HS, dual-enrolled at COA, working towards my Associate in Arts. From a very young age, I have always wanted to be in a career flying planes. From seeing movies about planes or hearing the stories of my grandpa, who worked in the Norfolk shipyard, about his stories from the carrier and traveling the world. My dream job has changed many times but it has always come back to being a pilot, which is when I decided that I want to fly for the US Navy. I’ve done a lot of research and I have decided that I want to go to the US Naval Academy, however I also have a fallback and that's to go to ECU and then attend OCS once I graduate. I'm currently a volunteer at Sentara and the President of Explorer post 252, which has helped me get experience in people skills and learn basic to somewhat advanced first aid and medical skills. I also have a passion for both music and hockey. I haven't played hockey long, only in my fourth year at this point, but I have come a long way. I have switched from many positions, to right wing, to center, and now finally on defense. I have also helped my team to win the championship last year, only rec but I'm still proud of it.
